Change the language
On a hosted calculator page, use the language menu in the footer to change the language.
Supported languages
| Language | Code |
|---|---|
| English (US) | en-US |
| Español (EE. UU.) | es-US |
| English (Canada) | en-CA |
| Français (Canada) | fr-CA |
Change the language on a hosted page
- Scroll to the footer of the page.
- Open the Language menu.
- Choose a language. The page text, the labels and the disclaimer change to that language.
The address of the page then ends in ?locale= and your language code, for example ?locale=fr-CA. If you share the address, the other person sees the same language.
The menu lists only the languages the company has turned on. If the address names a language the calculator does not support, the page ignores it and shows the company's default language.
Numbers and currency
Numbers, currencies, percentages and dates follow the language you choose. For example, English shows 1,234.56 and Canadian French shows 1 234,56.
Calculators on other sites
A calculator on a company's own website uses the language that company chose. If the site has no language menu, ask the company that runs the site.
