Getting started
This page walks you from sign-up to live calculators. Each step links to a page with the detail.
Before you start
You need a work email address and a website or app where you want to show calculators.
The path to live calculators
- Sign up. Create your account and sign in to the portal. See Sign up and sign in.
- Choose calculator groups and pay. You buy calculators by group. A group is a set of related calculators, such as Auto or Home and Mortgage. Check out for the groups you choose. See Choose calculator groups and pay. To add groups later, see Add groups to your subscription. To change your payment details or view your invoices, see Billing.
- Set your brand. Add your logo and colours. See Branding. You can also change the default values and label text (Calculator content) and the language and disclaimer (Language and disclaimer).
- Add calls to action. Add buttons that send people who use your calculators to your own pages. See Calls to action.
- Get your embed snippet or hosted link. Copy the embed snippet for your website, use your hosted link, or create an API key if you call the API from your own servers. See Go live and API keys.
- Go live. Add your website to your allowed domains, then paste the snippet into your pages. See Allowed domains.
The Get started page in the portal lists these steps and shows which ones you have done. See Get started checklist.
After you go live
- Check how many calculations people run in Usage.
- See which calls to action people select in Call-to-action click-throughs.
- Review who changed your settings, and when, in Audit history.
- Choose which calculation engine version you use in Engine version.
Where to go next
- Developers who plan to embed calculators or call the API start at the developer guide.
- People who use a calculator find answers in help.
